At St John’s, we believe marriage is a lifelong commitment, made before God and witnessed by family and friends. Your wedding day is a wonderful celebration, but it’s also the beginning of an exciting new chapter together.
As one of the oldest and perhaps most beautiful buildings in Corby, St John’s provides a stunning setting for your wedding. More importantly, we’re here to support you not only as you prepare for your wedding day, but as you prepare for a lifetime of marriage together.
Who can be married at St John’s?
In order to be legally married at St John’s, at least one of you must have a qualifying connection with the church. This means that one or more of the following applies:
- You live in the parish (or have lived here for at least six months in the past).
- You were baptised at St John’s Church or Epiphany Church, Corby.
- You were prepared for Confirmation at St John’s Church or Epiphany Church.
- You have regularly attended St John’s or Epiphany Church for at least six months.
- Your parents have lived in the parish for at least six months.
- Your parents have regularly attended St John’s or Epiphany Church for at least six months.
- Your parents or grandparents were married at St John’s or Epiphany Church.
If you’re unsure whether you have a qualifying connection, or which parish you live in, don’t worry. One of our ministers will be happy to help.
